Summer Sale with Spinning and Weaving

After harvesting 1200 fleeces in March 2023, and the final 400 fleece last week we are delighted to offer you the opportunity to come to Fernhill farm mini on-site shop here to browse our fleece collections

These fleeces are not available online, are the cream of our crop and will be available to purchase in bags ready to take away on the day

Fleeces from the Sheep Shearing Shed include:

  • Romney X Shetland - cream, white, coloured - ewes, shearling and lambs in full fleeces and sample boxes

  • Lustre fleeces - blends of BFL, Teeswater, Leicester Long Wool, Wensleydale breeds in bright whites and native shades of extra long curls - full fleeces, part fleeces, shearling, lambs and sample boxes, mini craft options etc

  • Bargain bags - range of skirt curls, VM curls, 2022 fleeces, felted fleeces etc

  • NEW - Peg Loom Fleeces - abundant pile of lovely colourful fleeces ideal for weaving into rugs - £6/kg come choose your own

  • NEW - Felted fleeces - ideal to wet felt into rugs with same colour coded rovings and tops available to match the backs of these fleeces - Kemp free, super soft fibres

Fernhill Fibre Produce Shop:

We also sell sheepskins, natural knitting and weaving yarns, felts, craft ingredients, clothing and accessories, gifts, cards and Jen’s new booklet the “Wonder of Wool” will be available too

We can welcome you here from 10am - 3pm as we are working livestock farm with just a small produce shop selling our own products via our website and creating breakfast and BBQ boxes for our weekend visitors - to pre-order you meat click here or allow time to browse when your here - www.fernhill-farm.co.uk

We can accept cash or card here on the day for spinning tuition and peg loom weaving workshops - no need to pre-book and please contact us for more details as they unfold and please leave your dogs at home
